Hopeless Romantic Hero

Hopeless Romantic written by Jesse Wilde
In this modern age
There ain't no place for a
Hopeless romantic hero like me
I can't duel for your honour
And girl, even if I wanna
These days it just don't work out that way
Well I could send you flowers
Talk to you on the phone for hours
But honey what does that achieve
I wanna grab you right now
I wanna Prove to you somehow
My love is stronger than any, you could receive
But in this modern age
Girl can't you see
There just ain't no place
For a hopeless romantic hero like me
And all through the ages as I
Turn the pages of my
History book I can see
Six gun user’s and life or death choosers
Romantic heroes like me
Well I can't turn back time
But girl I know if you look you'll find
What you see in that actor
You've got in me
Though girl I may never
Get the chance
To create that kind of romance
And in this modern age
Girl can't you see
There just ain't no place
For a hopeless romantic hero like me
Lady if we were born
In a different time
I was a knight and girl you're still
A maiden so fine
Well I’d free you from your castle
But then again it just don't work out that way
And lady
No matter what I do
Maybe I just don't stand a chance
With a hopeless romantic like you

Ghost Town Road

Ghost Town Road written by Jesse Wilde & Rick Beresford copyright 2005
My father gave me ‘The Grapes of Wrath’ when I was just fifteen
Ever since I turned those pages I’ve wanted to be seen
Driving down Route 66 crossing the Missouri line
With Tom Jode riding shotgun ain’t no tellin’ what I’ll find
Out past the diners in the dust the concrete tepees all in a row
Through a dessert made of plastic signs telling me I’m moving way to slow
I can feel the dust bowl children chasing dreams paved in gold
All the ghosts that refuse to die The spirit of the Pilgrims pride Out here man It’s still alive
On Ghost Town Road Ghost Town Road Ghost Town Road Out here on Ghost Town Road
It all started just west of Tulsa in a hell bound pouring rain
I swore saw ten model ‘T’s circled in a road side wagon train
Above the fire was crossroad sign that read Desperation and Hope
I knew right a way I was in for a ride when they pointed the way to go
Out past the diners in the dust the concrete tepees all in a row
Through a dessert made of plastic signs telling me I’m moving way to slow
I can feel the dust bowl children chasing dreams paved in gold
All the ghosts that refuse to die The spirit of the Pilgrims pride Out here man It’s still alive
On Ghost Town Road Ghost Town Road Ghost Town Road Out here on Ghost Town Road
Booms towns beckon like a prairie fire
West of Eden lies a promised land
Dreams to pick and souls for hire
Just a half acre and a one night stand
I guess I was searching for a hero or a teacher in these old dotted lines
In the days before they buried Billy (the Kid) and the highway died
I asked Tom Jode can you help me out I fear that our spirit is dying
Now in the ruins of the mother road I’m beginning to read the signs
Out past the diners in the dust the concrete tepees all in a row
Through a dessert made of plastic signs telling me I’m moving way to slow
I can feel the dust bowl children chasing dreams paved in gold
All the ghosts that refuse to die The spirit of the Pilgrims pride Out here man It’s still alive
On Ghost Town Road Ghost Town Road Ghost Town Road Out here on Ghost Town Road

I Ain’t Gonna Let You written by Jesse Wilde
Lyrics:
I can’t make things levitate
But I know what I’ve got and what we’ve got is great
And I don’t see angels but I believe you do
And I don’t wanna see nothing girl if I can’t see you
I ain’t gonna let you let me go
I know things about you girl you don’t know
Why you so afraid to let love grow
And I ain’t gonna let you let me go
Well you’ve been my best friend girl and so much more
You show me the light when I can’t find the door
I know we’re so different girl we’re so the same
I love the way you won’t let me play my games
I ain’t gonna let you let me go
I know things about you girl you don’t know
Why you so afraid to let love grow
And I ain’t gonna let you let me go
So you can try to let me go girl but soon you will see
Freedoms just a dot on the map yeah since you meet me
When we make love girl it’s a masterpiece and
Art like that girl you just can’t lease
I don’t need to own you everyone needs there space
But I can’t stop these feelings when I see your face
I ain’t gonna let you let me go
I know things about you girl you don’t know
Why you so afraid to let love grow
And I ain’t gonna let you let me go
